Jeffrey J. Pargament is a partner with Piliero, Mazza & Pargament, PLLC where he represents national and local clients on matters covering the spectrum of labor and employment law. These matters include employment discrimination, labor management relations, sexual harassment, employment-at-will, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, occupational safety and health, employee handbooks, drug and alcohol testing, wage and hour claims and affirmative action plans.
Mr. Pargament has performed legal services for a cross section of clients, including trade associations, government contractors, hospitals, nursing centers, hotels, retail establishments, traveling entertainment shows, financial institutions, real estate companies, national sports leagues and teams, manufacturers, temporary staffing agencies, service companies, construction companies, newspaper and magazine publishers, security companies, taxicab and trucking companies and charitable organizations.
Mr. Pargament frequently lectures on labor and employment law issues. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia and before numerous state and federal courts. Mr. Pargament is also a member of the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives and the American Society of Association Executives.
Prior to joining Piliero, Mazza & Pargament, PLLC in 1991, Mr. Pargament was associated with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. Mr. Pargament graduated from George Washington University's National Law Center. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Upon graduation from Cornell, he commenced employment with the National Labor Relations Board ("NLRB") as a Field Examiner in Washington, D.C. where he investigated and resolved discrimination charges and served as a hearing officer.
