Edith Moore McGee’s practice at Piliero, Mazza & Pargament, PLLC includes government contracting, corporate counseling, and employment law.

Prior to joining Piliero, Mazza & Pargament, PLLC, Ms. McGee served as law clerk for two terms with the Honorable Raymond G. Thieme, Jr., on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Ms. McGee taught first-year legal research and writing for two years while a student at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, and she is currently an adjunct professor at that institution, teaching appellate writing and legal drafting.

Before attending law school, Ms. McGee was a mid-level manager and systems analyst for a number of D.C.-area information technology contractors to the federal government. During a twelve-year period, she served on projects for the Army, Department of Labor, Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Federal Aviation Administration, Office of Personnel Management, and Environmental Protection Agency. As a manager, Ms. McGee gained considerable experience in contract acquisition and modification, and she spearheaded development of many technical proposals.

Ms. McGee received the degree of Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 1999 from George Mason. She earned a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in history from Furman University in 1979, where she was named to Phi Beta Kappa, and a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from Vanderbilt University in 1981. She is admitted to the bar in Virginia and Maryland, but not yet admitted in the District of Columbia.
